This Privacy Policy explains how Odo ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Odo mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, name, and authentication details. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk; we store the identifiers needed to link your account to your data.
- Vehicle data — the vehicles you add (make, model, year, trim, optional VIN), odometer readings, condition, photos, expenses, maintenance reminders, repair quote checks, and market value assessments.
- Preferences — your currency, distance unit, timezone, and (optionally) your general location, used to tailor market estimates and formatting. Precise GPS location is never tracked.
- Subscription status — your plan, subscription state, and renewal period, received from our billing provider. We never see or store your payment card details.
- Usage data — basic, non-identifying diagnostics that help us keep the Service reliable.
How we use your information
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Service's features: storing your garage, generating market value assessments and repair quote checks, creating AI renders of your vehicle photos, sending maintenance reminders, and personalizing your experience.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service. Each processes data only as needed to deliver its function:
- Clerk — authentication and account sign-in.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and billing through the App Store. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment details.
- AI providers — when you request a market value assessment, a repair quote check, or an AI Studio render, the relevant vehicle details (and, for renders, the photo you select) are sent to our AI partners to generate the result. This data is not used to identify you.
- Cloud hosting & storage — your data and photos are stored on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure and encrypted in transit.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual vehicles and their associated data (expenses, reminders, photos, assessments) at any time from within the app.
You can permanently delete your entire account from within the app or by emailing us. Account deletion removes all of your data — vehicles, expenses, reminders, photos, AI renders, assessments, and your user record — from our systems.
Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
